Come to sing and listen in the nature
Festival DABĀ (In the Nature) continues Saucējas project dedicated to recording and performing folk songs in the nature. In 2022 Saucējas were joined by other singers and musicians from Latvia as well as guests from Lithuania, Estonia and Ukraine. This festival was the opening event for the annual celebration of Ļaudona parish and provided an opportunity to take part in other activities as well - a workshop of making the traditional leather shoes "pastalas" and photo-orienteering competition in the surroundings of Sāviena castle-hill. Next festival will be in July 2024.
The international traditional singing festival DABĀ received the Madona County Award of the Year in Culture 2022 in the nomination "Cultural Debut of the Year". In the photo, the organizers of the event are the groups Saucejas and Anna Anita Amata.
On the hill of Sāviena - there is a great variety of acoustic environment, particularly bright and sonorous echoes.
Sāviena`s Hilfort is a unique natural and cultural-historical place, so we want to introduce it more to both local people and visitors.
The festival is organized by the group "Saucejas" and the cultural management center "Lauska" with the support of Lądon parish, Madona county and the State Culture Capital Fund.
